The main function of Art group Tumar is making articles of material culture such as: (clothers, toys, souvenirs, articles of interieur) made by kyrgyz craftsmen. In basis of these handicrafts are used just natural materials as: thick felt, ceramics, wood, metal, handmakecloth, and ecologically clean technologies of production which Kyrgyz people used in mode.
First of all was regulated the work of wood treatment, ceramics, national clothes, art treatment of textile, thick felt hand-made goods, workshops of art treatment of metal and area on production of yurts, which are located in different regions of Kyrgyz Republic. Art group “Tumar” co-operates with independed artists and craftsmen. In perspective is planed to organize desing-studio, areas on weaving, treatment of leather and fur. With the assistance of the Union of National Artists of Kyrgyz Republic and SUNAT “Kiyal” the Art group “Tumar”in co-operation with Science-student society “Chygarmachylyc” periodically holds ethnographical expeditionsto the remote regions of Kyrgyz Republic and take active participation in cultural life of KR and it is organizer of different arrangements.
